How DiolazeXL Laser Works
DiolazeXL is a diode laser system that delivers light energy into the hair follicle where pigment absorbs it. The absorbed energy heats the follicle, reducing its ability to produce hair over time. At SUR MedSpa each treatment is adjusted for your unique skin and hair type to prioritize safety while aiming for significant hair reduction.
Medium treatment areas — like lower legs, upper arms, Brazilian, full face, chest or abdomen — are treated with settings chosen to balance coverage and comfort. Because hair grows in cycles, multiple sessions are needed to treat follicles as they become active. Our clinicians monitor response and adapt parameters to reduce discomfort while protecting surrounding skin.
What to Expect During Treatment
Appointments for a medium area typically last 30 MINUTES. Before treatment the area will be cleansed and any necessary markings made; clients are usually asked to shave the day of treatment. Protective eyewear is provided and staff check comfort throughout the session — multiple reviews note our team’s gentle approach and that the DiolazeXL system feels far less painful than older lasers.
After treatment you may see mild redness or swelling that resolves in hours to a few days. Avoid direct sun and tanning products on treated areas while healing. Many local clients choose winter and early spring (busiest months: Jan, Feb, Mar) to begin packages so they can limit sun exposure during the multi-month process before summer.
Results and Scheduling Choices
Most clients notice visible reduction after the first session, with continued improvement across treatments, but individual results vary. Treatments aim for long-lasting hair reduction rather than guaranteed permanent hair removal. Our team will discuss realistic expectations based on your hair type, treatment area, and prior hair removal methods.
Sessions are scheduled several weeks apart and tailored by area and hair growth patterns. SUR MedSpa’s Marietta location on the Sandy Plains corridor is convenient for commuters off I-75/I-575 and offers evening and weekend times for busy families and professionals balancing work and local activities.
