Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about IPL Photofacial Trifecta - Face + Neck + Chest.

The IPL Photofacial Trifecta can treat the face, neck, chest and even legs. We customize energy and passes for each area to reduce pigmentation, redness, and texture irregularities, providing coordinated rejuvenation and natural-looking improvement over several sessions.

Most clients benefit from a series of three to six treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. Individual needs vary by skin condition and goals; your provider will create a personalized plan and reassess progress to determine the optimal number of sessions.

Most people describe mild, brief discomfort similar to a rubber band snap. Topical numbing can be applied for added comfort. Our providers adjust settings for tolerance while maintaining effectiveness, making treatment well tolerated by most patients.

Downtime is minimal for most patients: redness, mild swelling, or temporary darkening of pigmented spots can appear but usually resolves within days to two weeks. Avoid sun, vigorous exercise, and harsh treatments while skin heals for best results.

IPL is safest for lighter to medium skin tones, though advanced devices and settings can treat some darker skin types. We evaluate skin type, may perform a test patch, or recommend alternative modalities to ensure safe, effective results.

Before treatment avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and certain topical retinoids or acids. After treatment, use broad-spectrum sunscreen, gentle cleansers, and moisturizers; avoid exfoliation, heat, and direct sun until healed. Follow your provider's specific pre- and post-care instructions.
